Matt and I had an amazing Christmas season- our second together! Here are some of the highlights:
Qualtrics Annual Christmas Party
Matt started working on Qualtrics in May of this year and has absolutely loved it. It is such an incredible company that is so focused on it's employees. The holiday party this year was phenomenal-- "The Roaring 20s/Great Gatsby" theme, out-of-this-world food, dancing, and hello, Brian McKnight!? Needless to say, we had a blast!
These center pieces!
Christmas with the Sumners
Because we were going to spend Christmas with Matt's family in Arizona, we decided to spend the weekend before Christmas with my family at my parent's house. My mom loves to plan minute-to-win-it type games and challenges for us to do every Christmas Eve, and she just moved everything up this year so that Matt and I could participate. We also ate really good food, as always, and opened up the presents that they had for us and the presents that we brought for everyone else.
Who would you say makes a better reindeer?
Lots of bruised ankles after this game!
Love this picture because I think it caught Ashton in the middle of a day dream.
Dad's favorite gift :) Everyone is excited for our little guy to come!
Christmas with the Bloomfields
We spend the rest of the week down in Arizona with Matt's family. Unfortunately, we were lazy and didn't take ANY pictures while we were down there! Hopefully my mother-in-law will send some that I can upload later. We had a great time though! We played a lot of games, worked on projects-- Matt made a side sleeper bed for our baby! I'm really excited about it! We made tamales and Oreo truffles... and ate wayyyy to many of them. One of the perks to being pregnant during the holidays? You can blame any weight gain on the baby haha :)
We had a wonderful, happy, very merry Christmas. BUT I'd have to say that the highlight was being able to talk to this cute kid! We kind of ghetto-rigged the system aka I facetimed Ashton and he held the phone up to the computer where David skyped my family, but it worked! David is an incredible missionary and such a great example to our family. I can't wait for us all to be together next Christmas for the first time in 3 years!
